Kontrak sosial <--> Sistem Pendidikan

12. Kini bilangan sekolah-sekolah jenis kebangsaan makin bertambah dengan alasan politik memenangi hati kaum bukan bumiputra. Namun, kerajaan masih gagal memenangi hati mereka dengan 'kekalahan' teruk Pilihanraya Umum 2008.

14. For the sake of unity, why can't we have one National School where Third Language subjects can also be taught?

Recent Updates

Just got back from Malaysia-Australia it was a very short but delightful break and to be honest I am still homesick laugh all you can.

Ate Jap food on Acik's birthday on Sunday.

Then Naili's Corner the next day.

Then Kuew Tiaw Doli in Taiping the next day.

Bukit Merah next before jetting off to Brisbane via Sydney under Reliance.

GoldCoast is highly recommended for everyone. Honeymooners or family trips... or for the youngsters, it is a place for everyone with wonderful activities on offer.

I managed to meet Acap after a long time. I had a first time experience over something and still think it is something which is overrated...

Ate a lot one night when fresh lobsters, mud-crabs, kerapu and abalone were on our menu. Good grub!

Movie World, Seaworld.. Outback life... and suddenly I was on the way to London Heathrow 3 hours after reaching KLIA from Brisbane. Then everything seemed to shut down.

I couldn't stay longer because I have a coursework to do: Stochastic Claims Reserving for General Insurance. Sounds big huh? Yea it is.. 6-week course but Richard expects us to challenge him with an open-ended first class coursework.

For F sake!

Bon Jovi was good last night. I know only 4 songs notably Always and It's My Life. But they were fine.

I have to do my coursework actually. I still don't understand why do I have to torture myself?

Oranje are out. Second team Germany in the final. But Spain will win Euro2008.

Food 'bomb' on Malaysia Airlines

The trip cost me 585 pounds. It was OK compared to other liners and timings. Plus, the oil surcharge later didnt get to affect me as booking had already being made.

It was a bumpy touchdown but I had a more terrible ride to think about for the rest of the day as the food sucked big time!

OK I might exargerrate a bit there but it was below par. And I remember it was a lot better last year and not to mention Emirates' world class dining!

And the food came only twice! I felt really hungry between those times but had to settle for 27 Dresses and Definitely Maybe to sink that in for all I care!

I could be a food critic but I will make it simple. The food was little, and didn't taste good. Plus, it was covered with cheap plastic instead of the alumunium ones to keep em warm. The bread, my oh my.. it was hard as rock of Gibraltar! Thankfully the famous peanuts stayed that day.

Two blondie babes sitting next to me didn't even have the desire to eat the next round of the meal prior reaching KLIA.

To add to the issue, to my disgust, I was informed that the contract was given to Pak Lah's step-son to provide food for Malaysia Airlines. That simply made me over the top! Before this we have SCOMI manufacturing rapid KL buses although there are still many unused buses sighted.

Now this? What next? He's taking over the peanuts as well???

Stop all this shit favouritism!!! I just want to enjoy my long journey home and eat well! I'd have another round of pork soup I accidentally slurped in Noodle Bar, Islington rather than a Nasik Lemak tainted with shit favouritism, chronysm and nepotism.

Oh God please show them they are not Gods!

With the GE12 results still 'haunting' them some more!!

Oil price hike

I was shocked to hear the Government of Malaysia has increased the petrol price from RM1.92 to RM2.70 and diesel by RM1. Plus, the price will be reviewed every month according to the world price of oil. On the other hand, the government-owned Petronas is making record profits up to RM70billion.

I am sure there will be more street demos in Malaysia!

I don't really think there is a significant shortage of world oil supply at the moment. I will put the blame on the speculators for speculating on the price of crude oil by assuming events that might not even occurred yet. War and natural disaster should contribute to the cut of the supplies but this might be exaggerated so that the Bush-led US Government should profit on the world price hike.

I am very sure the oil companies throughout the world will be making tonnes of profits for the years to come. Aviation companies and car manufacturers will suffer their worst performance... General Motors are famous for their part as gas-guzzling vehicles producers and shall also suffer their biggest sales slump.

I don't get it you know. I am not an economist. I am far good at economics. My only proud achievement with economics is getting exemption for subject CT7 (Economics). But who fix the price? Speculators right? Or is it really true that the supply of oil is vastly decreasing? I don't believe in something I don't see. What if the price of oil is simply an exagerration?

Whatever it is, the US economy is slowing down and so will be the rest of the world following the oil price hike and the credit crunch. Greedy hedge funds are also preying on these factors.

The question is, can Malaysia cope this time?

Herald - The Catholic Weekly

I condemn the usage of the word "Allah" in the Malaysian Catholic Newspaper Herald.

Although there is some truth that the word "Allah" was even used during the time of Christ in Hebrew and also during Jahiliyyah time (Allat) referring to God, I still think Herald should stop using the word "Allah" in their Malaysian Language edition.

What is far important is the impact of the usage of the name Allah in Herald in which will provoke disharmony in Malaysia. I am very sure the Muslims will not welcome the idea. "Allah" is more synchronised with the Muslim world nowadays to refer God this is not new. In fact the Muslims (me included) would think that it is a way to confuse the Muslim Malays and invite more Lina Joy wannabes since Malaysian Language is being used by the paper.

They can always use "Lord" instead just like in The Bible. What if the Muslims retaliate by using the name "Jesus" instead of "Nabi Isa" publicly to talk about how the prophet was not actually crucified? Will the Muslims now be called racists? This will cause uproar among the Christians, right?

So enough bickering and stop provoke disharmony in my beloved country.

On another matter, I believe Abdullah was misquoted by some media when he was reported to say "you should tell your family BEFORE converting to Islam". He actually said that you must INFORMED your family that you have converted to Islam to avoid cases like Maniam Moorthy.

"Why do people want to hate? They see an opportunity to hate, they will hate. They will start talking about it and start gossipping but they should have known that there is nothing wrong with it according to their own belief and the Holy Book they preserve."

Please don't give hate a chance. Mahathir obviously hates Pak Lah for not continuing his legacy. He sacked Anwar for not following orders and both have shown signs of going against his way. (In which was good not to accept IMF but this could be highly motivated by Anwar opposing nepotism and chronism and thus saving his chronies). He is indeed ruthless! He will do anything to prove he is right! That's why he left UMNO. That's why he was plotting against the PM so that he could prove that he is right all along. That his way is the righteous way.

You still think he did it for the Malays? For the people? He is dividing the Malays more thats for sure. And as I said earlier, I am more interested about the implication of an incident. Not just the theory.

I have respect for Tun Mahathir for his intelligence and nerves of steel during his reign. But he has to stop humiliating himself. Being a hyprocrite talking about Abdullah as if he was not a bit of a dictator before. As if nepotism and chronism were not practised before. As if we had freedom of speech before. As if we did not have ISA before.

I pray for your health and may Allah give you guidance to His righteous path. Concentrating on "Criminalising War" would be your priority and I fully support it.

Ok ok I must stop talking about politics already I am sure you guys had enough already. Atleast for the moment. Let us be happy.

Euro2008 is coming!! Which team are you supporting?

Jeg for Oranjeg!! We do not have real defensive quality but I am still a Holland fan. France and Portugal looked powerful but we might have a surprise winner again this year.
