Note the word means flesh of swine and it is repeatedly mention as flesh of swine. Lets for a moment accept the argument that to be on the safe side one should abstain from anything that is related to the Pig, then by that logic Muslims should be vegetarians as consumption of blood is also prohibited in Islam. However there is an ayat that explains that it is forbidden to consume flowing blood. So it seems that not all forms of blood is prohibited.
In the same vein Allah has said that what is forbidden is flesh of swine and that alone. If Allah intended to forbid everything connected with the swine he would have said so. So leather, bone. fat, gelatin , insulin, heparin and many other products from the pig are not prohibited.
In surah 16:115 the prohibition of flesh of swine is mentioned for the final time in the quran and the very next ayat( 16:116) Allah sends a warning "And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, This is lawful and this is unlawful, to invent falsehood about Allah ".
Don't take my word for it, it's all there in the Quran. 'Abdullah reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) took hold of my hand one day (and led me) to his residence. There was presented to him some pieces of bread, whereupon he said: Is there no condiment? They (the members of his household) said: No, except some vinegar. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Vinegar is a good condiment. Jabir said: I have always loved vinegar since I heard it trom Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him). Talha said: I have always loved vinegar since I heard about it from Jabir. (Shahih Muslim)

If you can do some research on the history of vinegar, how it was made during the days of old, it is actually at one time in a form of alcohol (simply put it as wine), but it has transformed (without any outside disturbance) into what we called as vinegar.

And in Islamic term, this process is called istihala. Every ulama agree with this, but there are khilafs in how the process actually happens.

As a person who says that istihala is a made up concept created by ulama's, are you saying that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) committed sin for consuming something that was once alcohol/wine?

It is also written in the Quran that consumption of wine is also prohibited, am I not right? Read back the Quran, and see which is more sinful in the eyes of Allah, whether consuming wine or swine.

"People only want to see what they want to see". That is the best word to describe you. You don't even make any effort to study the concept first. All you know is to say "This man is wrong! This man is wrong! This man is wrong!"

Pity really.Ahmad Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00410016234883897185noreply@blogger.com
